Our 100th Anniversary event in Malaysia

Early October, we hosted a beautiful event, to celebrate our 100th year's anniversary of Valrhona, at the Horizons Grill restaurant of the Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. Superb buffet made by Chef Carlos Valente, following the recipes from l'Ecole Valrhona Asia, an Valrhona's aficionado for 25 years, with a great spotlight on KOMUNTU 80%. 70 guests, from Executive Chefs of principals 5 stars of Kuala Lumpur to independent Pastry Chefs. Several members from the winning Malaysia team of The World Pastry Cup 2019 were there, and some customers came from far (2h drive), even very far (2h flights!) specifically for the event. Great welcome from Horizons Grill, perched at the 58th floor of Banyan Tree, overlooking Kuala Lumpur's skyline and its Twin Towers

KOMUNTU is a contraction of “Komunumo”, which means “community” in Esperanto, and “Ubuntu”, an African concept that means “I am because we are”. Such is the link which unites these 100 people.
