Valrhona Partners with Bali Culinary Pastry School to Train the Next Generation of Indonesian Chocolatiers and Pastry Chefs
We are proud to announce the signing of a collaboration with Bali Culinary Pastry School (BCPS) on April 24, 2026, in Bali. This milestone represents a new and tangible expression of our global commitment to excellence in chocolate education—rooted in transmission, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
A Structured and Ambitious Educational Framework
This collaboration is part of the development of the Bali Chocolatier Pâtissier Professional School, an intensive five-month program launched in February 2025, designed for carefully selected young talents. Open exclusively to students who have already completed BCPS’s Professional Chef Pastry program, this advanced training covers chocolate, pastry, ice cream, and fine gastronomy.
The ambition is clear: to connect the next generation of Indonesian professionals with international industry standards, while nurturing their understanding of chocolate as an expression of terroir and craftsmanship.
A Unique Learning Experience
At the heart of the program lies a learning journey that extends far beyond technical skills:
- immersive visits to the Valrhona Cacao Forest, offering a comprehensive understanding of chocolate from its origin to the final gesture, while fostering a deeper sensitivity to the world of cacao;
- technical and sensory sessions with international chefs invited by Valrhona, focused on tasting and skill development;
- a professional immersion at L’École Valrhona Japan, enabling students to refine their creativity and technical mastery within an international learning environment.
A Partnership Designed for the Long Term
Beyond student training, this partnership also supports the ongoing development of BCPS instructors in an international educational environment. The goal is to ensure that teaching standards remain aligned with the evolving demands of our global industry.
BCPS thus becomes the first culinary school in Indonesia to engage in this type of structured educational collaboration with Valrhona—a shared source of pride for both partners.
Our CEO, Martine Grazioso, expressed it during the signing ceremony:
We believe that meaningful learning happens through practice, transmission, and curiosity. Supporting the development of young professionals through structured and immersive education is essential to strengthening the future of chocolate craftsmanship.
The ceremony concluded with a tasting of chocolate creations crafted by the students themselves—a fitting illustration of the promise this partnership embodies: the union of intention, craftsmanship, and excellence.
